Social Committee Job Description
- Outgoing person.
- Attend APHOA meetings.
- Social committee news for upcoming events, work with president.
- Write brief summary of social events for flyers and website.
- Make phone calls asking neighbors if they will host an event. The host only needs to host the event -- no cost to the host. The social will put the event together.
- Call your social team, have meeting with social team.
- Prepare a social calendar for the events for one year.
- Welcome committee is in place. That will come under social to oversee it.
- House visit with welcome packet.
- Make sure welcome committee has a welcome packet to give to new homeowners. Present the welcome letter, let them know how much HOA dues are, just anything about how great it is to live in AP.
Send the information from the new homeowners to the president.
- Each board and committee shall receive complaints from paid members who live in AP. If it's not in your job description refer them to the right board or committee head. (Bylaws p.4 sec.2)
- Tenure: 2 years
- Estimated time commitment per month: 2 hours a month when you have events. Remember you have a team.
The social is a fun job. You will get to know many neighbors and have parties and be a part of a fun neighborhood.
Landscaping Job Description
- To oversee the front
entrance.
- To oversee the landscaping company hired to take care of the front
entrance.
Goal should be to keep the same company as long as the company does a
great job and the cost is within APHOA budget.
- To be the only person to speak and work with landscaping company.
- Responsible to keep water costs down. Work with aqua if needed.
- Responsible only to oversee and make phone calls for any
maintenance needed.
- Responsible to ensure the front is neat at all times.
- Responsible to ensure the contract is renewed each year.
- Responsible to ensure board has a copy of contract also for
financial officer to have it for online banking.
- Each board and committee shall receive complaints from members
(have paid dues and live in Ashe Plantation). If it's not in your job
description refer them to such other committee or officers. (Bylaws p.4
article VIII sec.2)
- Tenure: 2 years
- Estimated time commitment per month: half hour per month or less.
Webmaster/Communications Job Description

Do all posting on APHOA website.
- Proof all information going out to members from anyone such as
flyers and newsletters.
- Work with APHOA President on information that is gathered for
approval for website (only for members whose dues are paid, the
president will have the paid list).
- Steps for posting.
- President receives information for website.
- President emails all information to website master for approval.
(The president will know if they live in AP or dues are paid.)
- The website master has the final approval.
- Email cost for website to Financial Officer for online payment.
- Tenure: 2 years or as needed.
- Estimated time commitment per month: Up to website master.
